Back-To-School Reminders and Supply Lists


We want to remind families of important back-to-school dates:

MEET YOUR TEACHER: at all elementary schools on Friday, August 18th from 8-9am. This is an opportunity for you and your child to check out your new classroom, meet your teacher and drop off school supplies.

ELEMENTARY FALL CHECK-IN: Friday, August 18th from 8-10am.  Families can finish any registration paperwork, sign up for bus services and nutrition services.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL: Monday, August 21, 2017. PLEASE NOTE: this will not be an early release day. Click here to view the upcoming school year's Academic Calendar.

ESCALANTE MIDDLE SCHOOL FALL CHECK IN: All 6th Graders will have a Fall Check-In on August 15 from 4-6pm at EMS. All 7th and 8th Graders will have a Fall Check-In on August 17 also from 4-6pm at EMS. This is a chance to check schedules and also sign up for bus and food services. Visit for more information. 

MILLER MIDDLE SCHOOL FALL CHECK IN: All Miller Middle School Angels will have their Fall Check In on August 15, 2017 from 2pm - 6pm at MMS. Visit for more information.

DHS DEMON DAY:  Join us August 17, 2017 for DEMON DAY!!  This day is strongly recommended for every incoming 9th grader to make a smooth transition to the high school setting.  Demon Day will run from 8:00 AM - 12:20 PM and will include bus pick-up/drop off for those riding the bus this year, an assembly, breakout sessions for ice breakers and team building, and finish with a simulated day to become acclimated to your new surroundings, and schedule.  You will be able to meet your teachers and great LINK leaders who will help make DHS your new home!  We look forward to meeting all of the class of 2021 on August 17! All school supply lists are also available. Additionally, Walmart and Office Depot have a limited number of printed copies available in their stores. Please note that at the high school level, supply lists are provided by teachers the first week of school.
