Happy Fall FLME Families,

As we wrap up September and head into October, the cooler fall weather is beginning to settle in. Don’t forget that fall break is this Friday to Monday, October 3rd-6th; there is no school. Moving forward, please help your child come to school prepared with jackets or layers so they can stay comfortable during recess and outdoor activities. If you need cold weather gear, let us know or stop in; we have a full Roadrunner Closet. Please know, we notice and appreciate your continued efforts to prioritize strong attendance—being at school every day makes a big difference in learning and community building. Of course, if your child is sick, keeping them home to rest and recover is the best choice for everyone’s health. Looking ahead, we are excited to connect with you during upcoming parent-teacher conferences, an important time to celebrate progress and set goals together for the months ahead.

Heads Up! Halloween at FLME

Halloween is Friday, 10/31. Here is the plan at FLME…

  1. Students can wear costumes all day. If they will be uncomfortable, have them wear comfortable clothing underneath or bring a change of clothes.
  2. Costumes need to be school appropriate which means no blood, gore, weapons, or full face masks.
  3. We will have a morning costume parade at the front of the school starting around 8am (after Sunshine Club). Parents are invited to watch outside.
  4. Classroom teachers will be communicating their afternoon classroom plans for Halloween.
  5. We know there are mountains of candy coming your way. Please help us out and have your students keep the candy at home.

After school plan changes - If your family has a change in plans, please contact the front office by 1:30pm. The front office will notify the student of the change in plans. After 2:00, the office may not be able to answer the phone for unplanned/ quick changes. (Before 12:30pm on early release Mondays).

Absences: If your student is absent, please call the front office in the morning to report your student’s absence at (970) 588-3331. Pre-arranged absences must be coordinated with the student’s teacher two weeks prior to their absence with the pre-arranged absence form completed. These can be picked up in the office at anytime.

Dismissal: School will dismiss at 1:30pm (Mondays) and 2:30pm (Tuesdays- Fridays).

Thank you for working as a part of our team; YOU are all empathetic collaborators!

Happy Fall~
