Budget Summary

The Fiscal Year 2019-20 Adopted budget was approved on June 17th, 2019. The board requires that the budget is balanced and that the district meets all policy guidelines. These include maintaining a 15% reserve of General Fund balance, unless otherwise directed by the board.

Two School Board Seats Available

The County Clerk has been notified that Durango School District 9-R will be participating in the coordinated election in November.  The Board of Education will have two four-year seats up for election --- District B (currently filled by Stephanie Moran), and District D (currently filled by Marianna Valdez).

The following is a non-emergency message for all parents, staff and students of Fort Lewis Mesa Elementary School. Phone service to the school is currently interrupted due to an unknown issue with the provider. The provider has been contacted and is working to resolve the problem. Because we do not know when service will be restored, we are asking that all families wishing to contact the school call (970) 375-3930.
